another despicable practice

I was reminded recently of the evil and abusive Family practice of spanking children until they stop crying. My husband in the Family was 6ft 6in and the sight of him spanking full-force my toddler son until he stopped crying was a sight that will haunt me forever.

I was unable to do anything and even now my son has problems with expressing pain or sadness and I believe that inhumane abuse has a lot to do with it.

How can a child stop crying when they're being spanked? It is so absurb; but I didn't stop it and for that I will eternally apologise to my son.

I am happy to say my 8 year old grandson has never been spanked!
