This must have been before I joined (1976) or something, am glad I missed it. I remember this "security" craze at one point, think it was around 1989 or 1990 or so, when photos of anyone who was NOT in your biological family were supposed to be burned. Same time that the Davidito book and lots of other "sensitive" pubs were burned or these long lists came out with pages which had to be cut out of various volumes, everybody's little books like Daily Breads and Daily Mights had cutouts on the first page because you weren't supposed to have a Bible name in there (so people invented little personal symbols to use instead...geesh), and ML Volumes and such were supposed have an "Adults Only" stamp.
But thank God I have photos of my kids growing up, etc. I cherish those, for sure.
