I understand your point. However, I still don't think that Sam was motivated out of trying to vindicate Barney. That would be totally out of character with what he was saying at the time.
The discussion I was reacting to had to do with Sam's methods and his apparent willingness to accept "collateral damage" to innocent people in his quest to expose The Family.
The situation I was involved with wasn't even about exposing The Family, it revolved around ex-members.
Sam made it clear in his posts on this website in recent days that what he did with my email was completely within his policy of operation.
I think it is important for people who deal with Sam to clearly understand this policy. That what he did with my email was not a mistake, it was part of how Sam executes his mission.
I understand it now. I find it totally unacceptable, so what I can do about it is refuse to communicate with Sam privately.
What other people do, is their business. But, I think that it is important that people who do communicate with Sam understand his policy, and that he is not kidding around.
People have to be very careful about not only what they say to Sam, but what they may say to others who are in communication with Sam. Case in point, the people involved in the situation trusted me, and look what happened.
