I believe there has already been some writings about what triggered Berg. Maybe do a search and type in Keda, The Girl who Wouldn't, etc.
Anyway, Toni (also known as Shema) and I were very good friends when we were in Asia. Many people would mistake us for sisters. I always thought of her as a genuine person and very, very likeable. She was always involved in child-care from the beginning. She would help families with their children before she had her own. She was very dedicated. I assume Berg and his hierarchy saw this loyalistic quality and seized upon it to make her one of their puppets. She was being groomed to help out in leadership and since Keda was overseeing that part of the world and lost her partner, she was assigned to travel with Keda. Keda was a lesbian from the word get go and came out of the closet when Berg wrote Women in Love. I was there when she and her partner, Shua, got the letter in the mail and were reading it. They were hollering and giggling and just so happy. Apparently, she then thought it was her right to have whoever traveled with her to be her bed partner. Unfortunately, Toni did not have those inclinations. As far as I know, Toni is still in TF, her husband left with her oldest son, and she was traveling to Mexico last I heard. She is one of those dumb loyalists who will follow blindly to the end, to her own detriment. Very sad.
