The mention of these letters, "Rape", "Pity the Weak", "If the Truth Kills, Let It Kill", etc. are some that I know I have heard, or I remember the pictures, or the general idea, but until seeing the content again, I had forgotten,(or still) do not remember the content. I clearly remember a time in the late 70's when there were so many letters coming out and so much stress that I remember I could not soak in the words anymore, but the pictures often remained. Those pictures were really powerful. So much was based in fear and justifications for horrors were built upon that too. Then there were all those spirit/goddess/demon letters and nightmare letters. Remember the one where there were heads cut off on a coffee table and speaking to berg? (in a dream) what was that about? And the one where people were in a place of some sort and being drained of their blood? (some of those nightmare/faux prophetic letters.) We were really bombarded to the nnnth degree with fear. And then there were the letters around that time too, regarding UFO's and even werewolves. Do you think there was an intent to overwhelm with all that production of garbage and trauma? And I left in the early 80's. It had to have gotten really crazy as time went on..
There is a definite process from the earliest days. I remember in 1971 being in N.O. and someone came in from Burlington where sexual liberties were in full swing. Then Berg wrote "Sin in the Camp". All leaders were doing is taking the liberties Berg was ALREADY taking himself with others. There seems to be a clear progression on a group level of a perp prepping vics for greater levels of perpetration.
Starting with some "selah" sexual activities from the beginning of the Fam. (not to mention his family of origin), and Bergs multiple wives, then the flirting only, then the going all the way, then the 'might as well make money while doing it' step from f'ing for "Jesus" to prostitution for "Jesus" then regarding children:
First it was "kibbutz-like" to have the kids have mixed bathing and living until puberty, supposedly, then "natural" for kids to see adults have sex (not for the purpose of the adults getting off to it, but to teach kids that there is nothing shameful about sex, supposedly) Then encouraging kids to act like little adults with each other (around the time the RNR ended and Visiting Servants began). Of course, at top levels Berg had already been sexually abusing kids and writing about it as far as one child, then two were concerned. It seems to me that Berg truly was a sociopath. When he was detained and charged in the Canary Islands, for pimping, he left the country and let the local leaders take the fall. AS USUAL. I don't see the family as just eccentric, but as severely destructive and illegal in many aspects. I don't blame some for dedicating their lives to exposing it. This control and abuse was not an "accident" or something that just occurred.
