HCS is the 'Heavenly City School' later known as 'The School', where many top leadership came in for retraining, many new ideas and beliefs were tested and carried to the field, it began in the late 80's and is still present today, though considerably down-sized from its former glory. I believe that the only people living there now are the Japanese LIM personnel and a few others.
Watchman committed suicide in the 90s after leaving the group from Japan. You can look into the records for things about him. I have my own personal opinion of Watchman, having lived around and known him personally though not imtimately but I will reserve that for myself.
I heard that Eman Artist was eventually excommed for his continual abuse of minors, the last case involving my sister-in-law. He was great to talk with, we had long and in-depth conversations, but he was a pedophile who abused many girls. I heard he had a stroke a few years back, but the group still uses his artwork to illustrate their pubs although he is not an official part of the group, last I heard anyway. Whether or not they are paying him, I don't know.
I have a very interesting and vivid memory of taking a very long bike-ride in the rain with Ho, Eman, Ed and I believe Mark was there too. At the time I didn't know who Ed and Eman were cause they went by different names and I hadn't yet been informed of their true identity. We had great fun and stopped off in a small coffee shop for tea and I felt like a queen surrounded by fun conversationalist guys who seemed to take great delight in teasing me. I often spent my rest-day where those guys were all based (the fountain house, which was the offical rest-day house) and got to know them in different ways. Ho was quite an uptight guy and stickler for rules, Ed was quite intense, and Eman was more of a joker and not so serious.
As for Watchman, I don't know. Some sing his praises, others don't. In my opinion he was very into himself and self-centered, and I have heard from people who had experiences with him some very unpleasant things which I don't think is fair to account strictly to the group and its influence in his life, same for Sir Robert or Newheart. It's the easy way out of excusing your bad behavior and I think it's just too easy to place blame for your sins on the cult. But it's not polite to speak ill of the dead and so I'll leave it there.
Anyway, that's a few of my old memories being dregged up from the past.
