The Siberian Project is an extremely sensitive subject to some ex-family member youth.
1. True. Faithy got that operation going when still a member of TF.
2. Fact. In '98-'99 the Siberian Project stopped being a front for TF and the distribution of Fam lit.
3. TF young people who were working with the Project left TF in '98, but they continued their involvement in the Project as employed staff members. FROM THEN ON other Family members NO LONGER participated in the Project's activities, because the ex-member SGs who carried on most of the Project's work in Siberia were not leaving on favorable or friendly terms with TF. In fact TF stopped using the Project as a PR tool.
4. Piper & Rosita & their 3 yr old son, the ex-family SGs who were keeping the project going up to the end 2001, died in a tragic road accident on an icy Siberian road on Dec. 29th, 2001. The ex-member SG community dearly loved and admired this couple, they're held in high regard, and anything that would besmirch their memory is detestable.
5. A small number of ex-member SGs worked on the Project's staff to enable the distribution of the food aid, they also received US gov't sponsored salaries. This employment was exercised TOTALLY separate from their former membership in TF, and do you need to be reminded--they had no choice when it came to being in TF, they were been born into it. These ex-member SGs frequently face myriads of difficults to educate themselves & to find high quality employment without much to put on their résumés, but they've been able to use the work they did when they were staff members in the Siberian project.
5. Consider this, the project's financial officer was a non secular hired NGO worker. He'd never had even heard of TF.
I conclude, campaigns to go after Faithy might hurt an ex-member SG. Some, especially Sam A., can present a lot of valid reasons for wanting to expose Faithy. But unfortunately my friends, in the noble pursuit of exposing her and that Project in Russia, in the desire to destroy TF & what TF at one time or another used as a front, you might unwittingly hurt the future of an ex-member SG, who has so litte that they can use as valid references. That project's reference is valid. It's tied to what was a US gov't supported humanitarian food distribution work. The exmember SG that I know did most of the work they did in the Project AFTER they left the cult. They are proud of what they did too, believe me, they worked hard long hours in difficult conditions. So there a time for everything, and this is one time, and one situation, to lay off. TF's second generation has enough problems as it is, and has suffered enough, please don't add to those sufferings, even if it's just for one individual.
