Yes, he wrote some of the most beautiful songs I remember from my time in COG - even with all the Family slant on lyrics, etc.
I was in Sydney December '77 when he had just left. He was unable to handle the truely uncharitable label that was put on him of 'backslider'. As I said yesterday - it was that attitude from other F. members that started alarm bells ringing for me - after all he had contributed over the years.
He was the *one* inspiration that has endured with me over the years as the ideal of a caring human being.
I still shed a tear whenever I dig out those old tapes and hear him sing.

Jewlz - I dont suppose you or Juni have better copies of those old tapes? Mine were third or fourth generation and are really quite hard to listen to - not the WildWind Band tapes - I have good copies of those - Gideon did other solo tapes (and some with Abarim) - its those I'm looking for.
