Even the early letters were full of crap. Jesus People or Revolution set the stage for mindless following without thinking of anything but obedience to supposedly godly leadership.
I agree with Omar that it was the height of stupidity to believe that berg was the endtime prophet. His words were off right from the start. He derided the churches just the same way he derided his wife. Making fun of both of them, just to make himself look better.
Bergs words are still having a bad effect on people today. What do you think new members are fed when they first join? The Basics, dear old berg, thoroughly corrupt, but coated in so much sugar coating that you can't tell the truth from the lies. Things like "the Candle" and Old Church New Church" All those old basics, pure unadulterated crap. It's worth it to know that even the early letters were not where it is at.
