apparently after years of being able to enjoy relative obscurity doing their stuff, the F in Italy is having some new publicity.

One ex-member, Cristina, got her doctoral degree in education science, wrote a thesis on the F, published and co-authored a book with a psychiatrist on the topic, and was recently invited to the most famous Italian talk show (not of the springer kind, an excellent quality show)
to talk about her book.

I encouraged her to post here for questions she has re: the F in general and particularly in Italy.

She had a question regarding the consequences of the shake up 2000 in the F.
Anybody here can help with that? MG? anyone else?

also her husband's daughters have been kept away and incommunicado for many years and he does not know where they are nor people will tell him. I encouraged her to post something because you never know who reads the boards etc.

I firmly believe that this board will benefit from a cross-cultural approach so I welcome the possibility of having more people from Europe finding access to it. The more we communicate, the stronger we become.

I also want to congratulate Cristina for all she was able to accomplish (she has 8 children) and in a country where very few people get a second chance in education and in speaking about such important issues having created the academic credibility to be able to be heard by the people that count.
