Ray you make an excellent point here with which I heartily agree and also disagree. Let me explain.
-------------------------------------------------
i do not doubt that zerby , peter, and perhaps a few of the most totally committed insiders still believe that adult-child sexual contact is acceptable in God's eyes.( i personally doubt that even they are crazy enough to still practice it.. having seen the consequences.) but, i would question the statement you made:"What is wrong with the family today is that they still very much believe all these things( sharing, childsharing, teen sharing, incest, ff'ing, child ff'ing, teen adult sex, lesbianism, etc.etc.,) are within the parimeters of what the law of love allows." wow. do you really think so???
--------------------------------------------------
From what I can see, you are spot on about the top leadership and most totally committed insiders being the only ones to believe that all these things are still kosher according to the Law of Love. The general population of the Family probably wishes these policies would just go away & not be part of their policies.
But I do see what Sam is saying although you are correct he needs to be clearer in how he gets it across. You will recall that 'Summit Jewels' (in which child abuse was privately, officially sanctioned after all public denials & renouncing of such sexual abuses were made) is official Family policy. Therefore if a Family member truly believes (and I mean Truly believes) in the teachings of the Family, then they do believe as Zerby & Kelly state that all these abuses are still covered by the Law of Love. So Sam does have a point.
And the fact that you say that 'totally committed insiders' also believe these awful things begs the question: what other kind of insiders do Zerby & Kelly wish for apart from 'totally committed' ones who truly believe the Official Policy? Do you see my point? Sam is obviously painting in broad strokes here and not with attention to the details but do you see my point? Top leadership still promotes these abuses in theory, it is official policy & their desire is that totally committed Family members believe these things as they do.
I think what you are saying is also true but perhaps you need to clarify that not all Family members are totally committed & are trying their best to ignore official policy & turn a blind eye to it.
