This is in response to a post on Crossfire by David D. where he asks: “What is it about the Family that stinks after the year 2000? . . . What is it that makes them a dangerous cult, not yesterday, but today? [Berg] is dead. Nobody’s interested in a dead man’s dirty laundry, or are they? Should they be? Are people still being taught unscriptural doctrines like adultery is no longer a sin, it’s OK for adults to have sex with little kids, it’s OK to lie and deceive if it’s for the good of the group, ffing. What makes the Family a dangerous cult TODAY, within the last year or two, and not 8, 15 or 20 years ago? ”
My answer: Thousands of kids are been indoctrinated to accept the Law of Love. The young members can put two and two together and figure out that Zerby couldn't go from the point where she was concerned the Family's public denials would make kids think they were against child adult sexual interaction (1992-3) to the point where in 1995 Zerby was against all that. They can see if they have any thinking abilities at all that Zerby was only pretending and she was simply lying when she said it was all a communication problem and a misunderstanding and the group never intended that there be child adult sexual interaction. Though incest and child adult sex, child prostitution etc., is now abandoned (thought it may still be going on in the inner circles) all of this is part of the law of love, their cardinal doctrine. (This is why all their apologies are so meaningless). What is wrong with the Family the last three years is the same thing that was wrong the last eight years, or the last thirty years, or the last three months or the last three days. What is wrong with the Family today is that they still very much believe all these things (sharing, child sharing, teen sharing, incest, ffing, child ffing, escorting, child adult sex, teen adult sex, lesbianism, etc., etc.,) are within the perimeters of what the Law of Love allows, though they only practice part of all that. (sharing, LJ, lesbianism, sex with God). The point is that they have not changed. Their stopping some things under the point of a gun is no change whatsoever. Looking at all these children in the Family websites the problem is not only that they will share at age 14, end up as single mothers at 15, or Love Jesus at age 14 but that they are indoctrinated in believing the Law of Love and all that that implies. Remember that skit in the Family where we operated on a systemite and we took out all the idols from their heart, the money, the education, the car, etc? What will we find if we operate on a Family member? What is their DNA? It’s the Mo letters, not the Charter, not even Maria so much and her writings, but the Mo letters, not that Zerby’s letters are any less heretical. The problem in this last three years, just like in the last thirty years is that they have not repented of the Law of Love. Remember Berg had said that the time may come when they will have to forgo some of the freedoms, that when the winds and storms of adverse publicity and persecution become so strong it may destroy the whole building, it is wise to open the windows and doors for the wind to blow through, provided they secure everything first? Well that is what they have done, they have purged their literature, opened their doors to the cult apologists, lied to them and it’s all very plain to see. You know, some people started believing that the Family was beginning to change during the mid-ninties, but they were surprised a little later to see that the family was changing for the worse. LJ, sharing age lowered from 21 to 16, later in 1998 to 14, Go for the gold, marriage of the generations, etc. Even back in 1994 when one of their apologist friends was trying to encourage them to become more conservative, Zerby said in one of the letters that there was more strong meet to come. And is sure did come, the LJ so-called revelation. I mean if all that persecution did not change them, and immediately after the persecution they got into all these things, it again shows you Zerby’s spiritual DNA. She is trying her best to be as “revolutionary” as Berg. I can go on and on but the point is the group has never changed. All we saw were some temporary adjustments. No change. The group in 2003 stinks the same as the group did in 1992, or 82, or 72. No change, that is real that is. What stinks about the Family after the year 2000 is that they have still not denounced the Law of Love. Sam Ajemian
