I was terribly shy, but I worked on it and got over that big time.
Well at least in most areas I really have no fear or stage-fright of any kind. I am really very very confident as a person, until someone praises me.

All thanks to what was drilled into me in my formative years - I am not worthy of praise - never hardly got any at all. I still react rather strangely to compliments. I get surprised, feel I don't deserve them, get offended, even think I am being patronized or the person is being being ironic... wierd stuff like that.
Some day I'll learn to be able to be big headed and say "youbetchyerass I'm good! I'm dee best!" :-)
