The main thrust of that FM's allegation (that ex-members publish "edited" versions of MLs was that exmembers couldn't publish entire Mo quotes because they would be so "convicted" by them. The thrust of that argument seems to be "Sure, dear old Dad went a little too far in his pendulum swinging sometimes and said extreme stuff, or made a couple slips of the tongue when quoting facts, but ex-members pull these flies in the ointment out of context and showcase them, and neglect to show them in context in the wonderful convicting truth that dear Dad spoke."
And probably what they mean by this is that Berg talked so much about witnessing and surely the ex-members aren't witnessing so they're so, so convicted and ashamed that Berg tells them to witness and they're ashamed that they're not. But they pull little quotes out where he says something extreme and use that to try to discredit Berg and the Family's "wonderful works".
It's the whole old defense that THE only reason that ex-members fight and expose the Family is because the poor brainless suckers are so insanely jealous of the Family witnessing billions to the millions and being THE greatest soul-winning army on the earth, and so the poor jealous exmembers in their insane jealousy have to try to discredit Bergie-boy as a false prophet so they won't have to be convicted by his insistence to witness.
It's the same old defense of "religious persecution" and is pure hogwash. You'd think they'd get tired of sweeping child abuse and Victor's Camps under the rug and sitting on top of the rug, holding down their past and whining, "You're persecuting us." But they have no other defense. It's either cry "religious persecution" or else have to talk about their awful sordid past which they don't want to do. They're trapped and have no other way to respond, unfortunately.
