Is the Family paralyzed?

I was thinking about the letter that a current member *C* wrote to Maria & Peter asking them if certain sexual crimes & statements were true & had the Family actually done that? & Maria's reply to *C* was that it would take them so long to answer such questions because **we would have to have our lawyers comb through every word we write**
If they're so bad off they can't even move or answer a question it almost sounds like paralysis. And even when they're exposed they threaten to sue they never follow through with it because they know very well that exposing themselves in a legal case is the last thing they want. Exmembers, particularly SGAs are lined up waiting for a chink in the armor to open.
It really looks like the beginning of the end for them.
