All right Thinker. I'll take that as a compliment, thank you, but I don't know how well I'll live up to being sensible & relevant. Probably today I'll end up doing something totally idiotic.
But it's true, anyone who decides to leave the Family, even now, even if they've been in since the early days, they can find a rewarding life "after the Family".
I count myself has having been very fortunate, and if it can happen for me, it can happen for others too.
By the way, there are some pretty big pieces of my life that I'm still in the process of picking up, I won't go into details but it involves our teen son who is in pretty bad shape: he's been unable to make his way, he's too dependent on us for material support, we've spoiled him for too long, and recently things have been coming to a head.
As a parent it's difficult to do the most loving thing, which is to let him know that we are going to progressively send him less finances and not the increase he's trying to get us to send. He's been spending it on all the wrong things, it's a hard thing to sort out, so many emotions are involved, as well as my own mixed guilt feelings: he didn't get the preparation he needed for life in the real world, etc., etc., etc.
