guilt is a big part of what cults or controlling groups use to keep you from leaving. The fact anyone feels guilt for people still in might be more than just a sense of responsibility. it might be due to not having fully processed and accepted their own departure. you goota leave it behind. loving people you were connected with is one thing, but guilt, no, that's a bad thing to carry around.
