I find that after my Family experience that I'm far more sceptical and maybe a little cynical and jaded in certain areas ... not all, but some. I think that's a pretty natural reaction. We were loved-bombed and deliberately decieved with such smiles that we look every horse carefully in the teeth.
But I find that if people ring true and genuine, that I extend a great deal of trust to them. If I find out that the HEART and intentions are good, I'm able to overlook a lot of rough exterior crap and love that core person. "Mistakes of the mind, and not of the heart" -- it sounds cliche' but it's true.
