While on the subject of books, what are some other good books? Not necesaarily spiritual or self-help, but just a good read.
I've read some of Anne Tyler's books -- Breathing Lessons -- and a friend consumes her other books -- Patchwork Planet, Saint Maybe, Ladder of Years. Some of Barbara Kingsolver's other books are said to be good.
Same friend also inhaled 'Memoirs of a Geisha' and 'Joy Luck Club'--latter by Amy Tan.
Any other recommendations?
