So true! Here is a hint for finding a good therapist. See who all would accept your insurance. INTERVIEW your therapist. It helps if they have some experience with battered women, domestic violence (which goes the other way sometimes too!!) Some credentials often sound impressive but are add-ons like the vanity accoutrements on cars..
Some people that claim to be experts on cults know nothing much at all.
Ask the therapist for their areas of interest, their studies and credentials, their preference of therapy style, their availability. If asking any of this offends them, I would say: Not a good therapist! Wish you the best! :)
