I think its very important to get a really good look at the evil the Family was in to so we can be sure we recognize evil for what it is. how can we move on past our family experience if we dont know what exactly were moving on from? or another thing, you & your kids may have missed some of the really bad stuff yourself so you may think the child abuse never really hapened except in a few isolated cases. so its good to go back & wipe your nose in it like a dog to make sure you know exactly how bad it was. the term 'floating' applies to people who come out of a cult but never deal with the issues so they cant move forward & make progress. they just float. Ive heard of even sucessful businesspeople who still hadnt moved on from some issues. we all need a good look at our past before we can moveon. Good point.
