By saying "Because people use guns to kill others, we should control guns" in actuality makes the government more dictatorial. We are free to live life as we wish (at least, more free than many others). We make mistakes. But to say that the government should step in and control guns because guns are sometimes misused is a step in the direction of supression.
Guns are only a reflection of a social proplem - namely drugs. Educating our children, and teaching our children values (such as God, the difference between right and wrong, taking the rap when you are truly guilty and not blaming others for our problems, etc.)is the best step in the right direction of correcting the problem with guns, since the misuse of guns are only a reflection of a deeper problem in this nation, namely amorality and immorality.
