I hope you are not teaching American history to our students. I would pull my children out of your class. Oh, at least countries are better off afterwards, gee, you give some credit. How did you eke that out, must have been hard to do. How could that start a tradition of invading when it was an uprising in our own country, that is not invading. You should read your history more. Most of the soldiers that were lost were from the south because of the tactics of their own general. Try reading Autumn of War, maybe that will clear up your confusion here. Read a real historian.
