French President Chirac warned East European nations that if they side with America, France will oppose their membership in the European Union.
"Do as we say, fall in line, or we will use our veto power to bully punish you little weak countries! We will hurt you economically & make you feel pain! Doesn't that pressure help you see our sane, rational viewpoint that the U.S. is an awful imperialitst bully?"
