Why the surprise? Do you think they would go through with this with no plan? Just blindly obliterate some regime and then expect everything to just fall into place? The U.S. is criticized no matter what it does. If it gets rid of regime, but doesn't replace it with something better, it gets criticized for leaving it in shambles. Now if they try to organize something for a better democracy or government, they are criticized for being too involved. Go figure. It's time the U.S. quit listening to the U.N. (such an oxymoron when you have Godahfi on some counsel and Saddam on another one) and do what we were doing before Europe tried to tell us what to do. We wouldn't have had WWII if we had done things right during WWI, but because we tried this "new" European diplamcy, we gave Hitler's regime a chance to regroup and come back at the world, believing we were not strong enough. Many more people were lost because of that mistake.
