They may be sincere, but they are sincerely wrong. WE know because we were all there. Have you been watching the TV series "24?" The story goes that there are some Muslim extremists who have detonated an atomic bomb in L.A. and to do this they recruited a young American girl. Now they are trying to talk to her to find out where the bomb is and she is going on and on about how all this is for the good of mankind to wipe away evil, etc., etc. The main character is telling her sister to talk to her, that she is still the sister she knew and loved, but that is someone else talking - the teachings of an extremist. It was interesting, it kind of hit home in a lot of ways.
