It seems that a lot of the first oldtimers are out by now. The ones that are still in are hopefully about to leave some day. About Silas & Endureth, they've probably had their share of public breakings & humiliations but for the most part they've had the cushy lifestyle & perks of leadership. When you've had that for nearly 30 years & now you have grown kids & grandkids in the cult, it's hard to walk away from especially if it looks so scary out therein the real world. Besides they were taught they were *elite* and God's most dedicated servants so the thot of working at a 9 -5 job is considered the same as laying down & dying.
Even if they have *doubts* about group policies some lifers wrap them in a bundle of faith and put them up on a shelf & don't think about them. This is especialy true if they've enjoyed the perks & privileges of leadership for 30+ years. I wish you well in talking to them. They'll probably act normal around you & even surprise you at how relaxed & sane & current they are. but there are walls inside their brains they won't cross over.
