Sam Ajemian is a really nice guy

I can't understand why Maria is filled with so much hatred against Sam. Sam has only tried to tell the truth and for this Maria says he's an 'evil leader'. WHY? Is she really that blind?
Sam has sacrificed a lot to try and help Maria and Peter see the error of their ways and for all his kindness Maria turns around and kicks him in the teeth. If I was Sam I would stop treating Maria and Peter with such kid gloves, but not Sam, he's too nice to them. Maria runs around like a chicken with her head cut off, while Peter wanks off to her babblings about 'going on a Vandari Safari after some evil leader'. They should both be checked into a mental institution and hand over the keys to Sam. I think they are both truly lossing the last of their mental moorings and being cast adrift into total insanity.
