The F. leadership would have to denounce Berg completely, that is the only way. How can you pick and chose from his stuff? The whole spirit is wrong. Even the beginning, the Dumps letter, as you so aptly described, was detrimental to us, isn't that the truth? You couldn't murmur or be sad or negative and all those words were akin to backsliding. Gee whiz, we couldn't be human. But it was all for a purpose, it was about control. He didn't want us to doubt HIM or his little entourage. It was patriarchal, it was wrong. We swallowed it because we were ignorant and innocent, but we are no longer either of those things and we don't have to try and read Mo letters to find the good in them.
I was discussing this with my friend who left in 1994. If there was any "good" in the mo letters they were no doubt from something else he read such as the BBC story of the man dropping seeds on his lone walk (the name slips me now), etc. No need to sift through his stuff to find it, there is plenty of "good" stuff out there to find.
