I am all for individuals taking personal responsibility for whatever evil they've done in the past. How they deal with that guilt whether by asking for forgiveness, making amends, or flagellating themselves to death is their own individual choice. Coping mechanisms change over time. But that is all up to them. Not to any of us (not even the victims). But to them. To condemn anybody (and I think to have to keep reminding everyone who these people are and what they've done is a form of condemnation), is downright evil in itself. You see the vicious ferris wheel ride I'm referring to? That's what I object to. I feel that if we were more accepting of others then we'd become instruments for positive change. Besides a fresh start is something God gives us (the good AND the evil)every single day. Are we then much better than him? God help us then.
