I, personally, do not think that talking about such things as how we ended up where we did, how it came about, what to do about, how to reconcile it is making excuses for what happened to them, sometimes serious things. That bothers me because then I feel this guilt thing just because I want to sort out my past and even my present. That's part of my own personal healing, it's not about excuses or laying blame or not being responsible or owning up to any injustices.
