I think I agree with you in most of your points.
You couldn't ever tell from my posts in the past, but in person I'm not a pushy person at all. I don't believe in shoving my viewpoint down any one's throat. Nor do I like others being too pushy with me (in person). So I certainly understand what you are saying about gays and their agendas, etc. On a personal basis I dislike anything that smacks of humanism. However, I also recognize their right to exist and believe as they wish. I must admit that it does bother me that humanism and evolution and such are so prominant in the school system.
But I'm a very passive person, and I don't believe in attempting to change the world. I believe that as a Christian if I can't make a statement simply by the way I live, then my religion is of no value to anyone.
I don't get involved in politics. I don't even vote! I just don't believe that God has called us as Christians to "fight the evil governments of the world," which would include the accepted mentality of whatever political system we are in, whether it's conservative or liberal. I don't see God calling us to wage war with the gays or the New Agers or Harry Potter or the Carpenters either! I could be wrong though!
But I do see that Christ called us to social service, in the sense that He told us to feed the hungry, visit those in prison, clothe the naked and be good citizens in general.
I don't try to change the course of present civilization, but I do try to change the world immediately around me though, and believe in being very active with the lives of the people I encounter on a daily basis. This would include everyone from the gays to the street people to the customers that walk through the door of my store (I have to admit though that the customers are often more difficult to be nice to than the others listed.)
