You're right, Sam. It reminds me of something I was reading in one of those books from a famous religious author (his name escapes me now) and he was talking about tough love concering spouses and infidelity. He was counseling couples and he said that once the infidelity had been uncovered, brought up, retribution paid, forgiveness asked for, etc., etc., to go on and never bring it up again. It's a smart move bevause otherwise you end up living in remorse and putting yourself in that frame of mind that just turns into depression. There's no point in continuing to kick oneself over and over again. I believe in forgiveness.
