Happy to announce that the exFamily.org Directory is now basically completed, and is undergoing user testing for final touch-ups.
The exFamily.org Directory allows you volunteer as much information as you want about yourself, choose to hide or show parts of that information from public view (such as your email address), specify the circumstances under which you prefer to be contacted, update your information whenever you want by signing in, suspend your profile (temporarily?) so it's on file but invisible, and eventually remove your data completely from the directory, etc.
If your email is hidden, visitors can choose to contact you through our automated Mail Forwarding Service.
Coming soon, a small extension to this service will be the Personal Pages. After getting on the Directory, you will be able to create personal pages where you can tell your story (even if it is an unpleasant one and names are mentioned [according to speicific conditions]). Your personal page will not show signs of being connected to your Directory profile if you opt to keep them separate. You will be able to do basic automated layout and upload pictures for your personal page presentation.
Stand by for full release in a few days... in the mean time, any volunteers for bug-testing and user feedback?
