I left the Santa choice up to my kids. When they were smaller we were still in the group, so no Santa, no reindeer, no jolly Ol' St. Nick, etc. But then after we left my sister got them a Hello Kitty Christmas video which covers the subject of whether or not Santa is real.
Of course they asked me and I told them the historical version of St. Nicolas, and that probably that is where Santa comes from, but that I personally don't believe in the Santa who rides a flying sleigh and etc.. But then I told them they had to decide if they believed in him or not, and 2 chose to believe, one doesn't.
As for the cookies, I left the cookies on Christmas Eve, but took the note and tucked it away to give my daughter back when she is older.
Now, if we talk about the Tooth Fairy, yes and definitely, we believe in a Tooth Fairy, and she comes, late sometimes, but she shows up to take teeth and leave gifts. But no Easter Bunnies in our family.
Perhaps I will do p-nut butter cookies, but then again, I hate them, so I never make 'em.
Hugs!
