I can imagine how it must be to some degree. The distance that still exists between one of my sons and myself is something that was greatly influenced by the family, I am sure. But even more greatly by the obstacles we faced after getting out. I am so sorry for you and think something that could be very helpful would be to have a section on personal open letters to family members in case they see the site and get a chance to read the letters. It would show to a greater degree the magnitude of what has occurred to families after the family and where members are still in. I can't imagine that aspect. It must be very heartbreaking and gut-wrenching to be a parent out of touch or a child not in touch with parents because of the "family" cult. This time of year I am sure people are even more vulnerable when so much emotion is aroused. I hope the best for you. I am very sorry for your loss in this way. It is enormous. :(
