but fat chance to get him in trouble. People from important families (those with money) in LatAm don't get in trouble. His father was one of the top military people in Peru and as many as other generals do in those poor countries, he was also able to end up with lots of money. That is why Juan was such an important fish and also ended up with power. Some things run in families.
Maria doesn't have enough to get rid of him if she wanted to but why would she? He is a good obedient boy who proudly sacrificed his own daughter as he was climbing up the ladder of success. Poor souls, his and those who are under him.
