I really appreciate your care and concern. It's a hard time for us. I can understand how being raised in that environment can make one melancholy for the "warm, fuzzy, atmosphere" as you put it. I was at one of these so-called exmember fellowships where they brought in some current members and exmembers that still liked the lifestyle. Everyone started singing those songs and getting weepy and oopey goopey as I call it, and I just wanted to puke. It makes me sick. I have to stay 100 miles away from it. They think that this is what love is, but that is oftentimes so superficial and unreal. Feelings come and go, there is so much more to love than feelings. Like when I first had a spiritual experience, I thought that to be close to the Lord I had to have these euphoric feelings or I'd be carnal and in the devil's realm. It's such a trap.
