i was never in the jumbo, and did not find out about goings on there until many years later. the two boys who were there stayed in the family for years after i left, trying to get me to let my other kids to rejoin. i never wanted them to go to the jumbo in the first place, but was just coming off an intense "retraining" where i was forcibly seperated from part of my family , and extremely vulnerable to coercion, or whatever the proper term is. am i still to blame for what they suffered ? yes, of course. a parent is there to protect their kids, and i did not.
you raise many very important issues, jules, and i just woke up, haven't even had my coffee...as serious thing at my age. but no, i was not in the uk in 1991. we left to the states in june 1990. not that that excuses me for anything. but i really want to address you posts. i actually have hoped for a chance to speak w/ you but did not feel posting on moving on would be appropriate. but let me get back...i fell asleep watching "apocalypse now"...somehow prophetic i guess.
