Hi Goth!
To answer your questions:
1. I joined at 19 years old. I was a leader in USA and Canada( a Bishop at the end of my "leader" status). Resigned as a leader a few months just prior to the RNR. My story regarding this is in the Hall of Fame. I left the family for good in 83 after reading the Davidito book and realizing berg was promoting and into sexual abuse.
1b.I have never sexually abused any children. I have never had sexual contact with a minor in my life. In addition I have publicly accepted responsibility for my participation as a leader and apologized to others openly and personally whenever I can. You also know that I was a victim of sexual abuse as a child.
2. I was under the mistaken impression that Ray was a major leader up until he left. See my post under this topic or up above. I have apologized to him. Hope you read it to get a picture of what happened to my brain.
3. I have spoken publically in print and voice media on a few occasions since 1983. I was excommunicated by the family and put on their serious enemies list the same year or early in 84
There have been hurts to me and others in and out of the family because I came forward but that is the cost of being an ex leader and ex family member. Also, as a family member, I hurt people as well as myself and expect that I have to make amends where I can.
4. I am very thankful that I got out at the time I did because as sure as I sit here typing you this I would be in jail for life if I had seen or come across anyone sexually abusing children on my watch. It would not of mattered what leadership or anyone else would offer as a reason or excuse. Even at that, if it was not for my wife of 22 years I would have taken my own life over these issues.
I don't know what else I can say regarding this issue.
Sincerely
Rocky
