Yes, of course I see it. I knew it was just one of those things.
I think once you know some gay people or adolescents from close (or if one of your sons or daughters is) then you understand a lot more about this issue, because it is a lived experience.
Rosie O'Donnell who is gay publicly said clearly that she would prefer her kids were heterosexual. Some people did not like that, but of course, I understand her as a mother, it is much easier to live life that way. Who would want to wish that on somebody? I would not want to wish being Black to some people in racist areas, but people of color also have to live with their reality.
I am glad I live in an area where I can talk openly about these issues and can get to really know people with diverse life experiences. It helps to know them by name, and not as a statistics. :)
