tom cruise facing down jack nicolson in "a few good men"..certainly no one is in a better position to call them out. but do you think m&p give two hoots and a nickel about the disruption of the lives of the rank & file? heck, they might even feel this is a good thing. i know that when an olive branch was extended to them they spurned the opportunity to even explore options. one of those "wag the dog" type deals? "circle the wagons" and all that. visible homes will serve as human shields. saddam will be in his bunker, eating marmelade.
still, as an fg parent, that heartcry is pretty wall piercing. let's hope at least some fg fam parents will have their "hearts turned toward their children"...lest "a curse" follow. (mal.4:6& lam.2:19 & pr.21:13 "he that stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry, and shall not be heard.")
