I do not consider it cultic to say, with Paul, that Christ is my life. Neither do I consider it cultic to believe that my primary function is just to be a branch in the Vine which is Christ.
Everything else is secondary to me. My job, my family, my so-called "life".
I think that being a Christian is one thing when you are first saved,,and becomes increasingly annoying as time goes on,,until you finally give in to the Lord's buggings, urgings, and wooings,,and finally consecrate yourself to Him. This happens repeatedly,,as we get drawn away to one thing or another temporarily,,,but in the end,,who do you think is gonna win this game? Might as well be Him.
I think Paul summed it up in saying: "But holding to truth in love, we may grow up into Him in all things , who is the Head, Christ, out from whom all the Body, being joined together and being knit together through every joint of the rich supply and through the operation in the measure of each one part, causes the growth of the Body unto the building up of itself in love."
The Lord is not after a religious group. He wants a Body to express Himself on earth. This requires more than just our intellect.
