Hi,
I do not post much or visit much as of late (too much going on) but I do want to let you know that your life and mine (from what I read) have much in common in so many different ways and even details.
I cannot say that I do not have a god or religion...I would say that I do not think spirituality REQUIRES a specific label. I welcome discussions about spirituality, but I find it petty to think that ONLY the LABEL really matters. Years and years of petty squabbles and dogmatism on who's got the corner on 'religion' have left me tired and hopefully just a bit more mature. :)
I am more interested in what people DO than in what they say these days. Of course, I think the journey board is a GREAT asset and know personally many of the people who post there...I just have not waxed philosophical lately...maybe I am getting old or getting to a significant turning point in my life. :)
After all, I guess we will all know what the answer is once we die, and we will ALL die, no doubt about that. Any "God" would HAVE TO BE, by essence and definition, much greater than all and any of our own collective and individual pettiness, and I find THAT extremely comforting and reassuring. It is enough for me these days. Just wanted to let you know you are not alone...only in a... minority. Children of a 'lesser' god? :)
