if we think we did something wrong. We did our share of wrong, but we cannot live in that zone of guilt, remorse and angst forever. The next step is we move on to leave it behind. We have to heal, forget, undo the damage, forgive, help others (not necessarily in that order)
Forgiving is such a tough one. We can't forgive the F. leaders if we don't blame them for doing anything wrong.
Forgiveness has been debated so much. There are some who they believe they should or can only forgive if the offenders are sorry ask for forgiveness. I'm not so sure that is a necessity. Maybe it's not always necessary, but for some it is a requirement, and no one can dictate to them if, when and how they should forgive others.
One thing for sure, forgiveness is good for the soul, and like you say, it's a good place to start by forgiving yourself for messing up, and putting some positive energy into yourself, into believing in yourself again, into learning your lesson and moving forward.
