Yes, we had no time for ourselves and were knee deep in diapers, nursing babies, philandering husbands, obnoxious and demeaning shepherds, idiot leaders who sent us around the world for nothing carrying our little ones like extra baggage. It was fricken hard and made child-rearing an unhappy experience. But it didn't change my feelings for any of my children. Yet, I find myself not being intimate with them and that's what surprises me sometimes. Now I think I'm understanding why.
I agree with you though, us girls really do stick together because of what we went through as abused mothers and sex objects.
