We are glad that you are not only finding the GenX bulletin board helpful, but the many other resources on this site as well—including articles in our Articles site.
Recently we have received letters stating how much some articles, where people tell their spiritual journeys, have helped several of you in your search for spiritual wholeness and a healthy, non-toxic faith in God.
We have deliberately kept GenX board low-key on spiritual issues because, as this board’s guidelines state: “We recognize that many members once exiting the Family have naturally become hesitant about their faith—if they have any left to salvage. Many want to distance themselves from any talk of religion whatsoever. With this in mind, we wish to offer a place where eXers can discuss their ideas, hopes, despairs and aspirations freely and not feel compelled to relate everything religiously. We realize that for some, this is a very necessary and required space.”
However, since quite a number of you either have Christian faith or are in the process of rediscovering spiritual values, and find them helpful to your recovery process, we felt it might be helpful to open a board specifically to discuss spiritual/Christian issues. This will also allow the GenX board to remain focused on its stated mission.
We would therefore like to host the board, “Journeys” for the next couple months to judge whether it meets enough people’s needs. If, after the New Year, we find that it is redundant and unnecessary, we will remove the site. If it is popular, it will remain.
Please take a look at “Journeys” by clicking on the link below, or by clicking the direct link to “Journeys” on the left menu.
