all my kids went to public schools when I returned to the states in 1989. I'm glad I put them in. It was the best way for them to get acclimated to living out of a cult environment. They all turned out pretty darn good for what we went through. you can shop around and find out what areas have good teachers and good schools.
Of course, we had our share of problems and they all went through those nasty teen years that had me up at night fretting and worrying. That just comes with the territory.
