I made this decision out of necessity also after leaving the f. I checked out Christian schools but either they seemed really weird or were very expensive. Then they went to public school. My kids got into all kinds of trouble, but I really don't believe public school had much to do with it. I think it is good to find a counselor who is Christian (since that is your belief) and oftentimes they will see people for free or for very little money. Find someone who is licensed as at least a MSN and get your whole family into some counseling. Maybe that would be a good go-between in leaving the f. and then making these decisions you have to make. Public schools have many GOOD things in them. The social skills we learned in the family were centered in the f. I think that is where much of the problem comes in. My kids are financially sound today as adults. My sister's kids went to a private Lutheran school. It was a good school, but the problem was at home. One kid ended up a dancer and cocaine well you know what. And the other is a professional student. So maybe the issue is family fear factors and social skills many of us did not have after getting out? I hope the best for you and yours.
