No, I actually had no markatable skills to speak of. I'd graduated from High School by the skin of my teeth (I actually was 3 credits short, but cheated by claiming to have taken a night class I never took. I simply signed up for the class, got the receipt, showed the high school, and they graduated me. But I never went to the class).
I had about one year of college, and had worked a paper route, and a few other things, but no real markatable skills to speak of.
I've made an OK living though, working with another fellow who was a "fringey" in the HK. He never really joined, but went to the temple for major holy days, and occasional Sunday feasts.
We actually got started in a good business through a scam we performed on the public to raise money for the temple.
When I left, we discontinued the scamming, and simply turned our learned skills (from the temple) into a viable business.
That's what I mean when I said I learned a FEW valuable things!
